Ok, so I have not blogged in probably almost forever!! So my older sister Rachael was married Oct. 23, 2010...that very next day Trent proposed!! I had no idea he was going to propose! We had talked a little about it but we never went ring shopping or anything so I figured nothing of it. That Sunday he told me the cows were out at his ranch and he needed my help getting them in. Me being so gullible was like what the heck. It was freezing cold and rainy that day but we headed up to his ranch in Humphrey where we "looked for the cows that were out". We jumped on the four-wheeler he coincidently had in the back of his truck because the "four-wheel drive went out" and went searching for these missing cows. It took about 20 minutes to ride through the fields, down a little trial, through the trees just to find a cute little black and red blanket set out with roses everywhere, a picnic basket with sparkling cider, chocolate covered strawberries and the words "marry me" carved into the tree. At first glance I was kind of excited, I almost turned around to Trent to tell him "look what we found!! haha" ...then i realized, hmm I think this wasn't just a coincidence. He got down on one knee and said "I dunno if you know this, but I love you and want to spend the rest of my life with you..... will you marry me?" My first response was "are you for serious??" haha ...then he put a gorgeous sparkling rock on my finger! And he couldn't have done better! I love my ring. Back at his cabin was both our families waiting to hear the story and see the ring! ...little did I know everything that led up to the proposal was a lie. But he got me, it was a complete surprise! :] That has been one of my most favorite things about Trent; he loves surprising me, which makes me oh so curious but it is awesome!
